Giovanni’s Room Bookstore
Giovanni’s Room Bookstore is a gay bookstore opened in 1973 by thee Gay Activists Alliance members. The bookstore which was named after James Baldwin’s novel Giovanni’s Room, operates as a non-profit, with proceeds donated to local organisations involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS. They have loads of books for all identities and areas of the community plus book clubs, signings, and discussions throughout the year. They also sell Pride merch.
