Kyobo Book Centre: The biggest bookstore in Korea
Founded in 1980, Kyobo Book Centre is by far the largest bookstore chain in South Korea. It has ten stores in seven cities, with the flagship Main Store, or Gwanghwamun-jeom in Seoul, which is located in the basement of the Kyobo Building, at 1 Jong-ro, Jongno-gu in Seoul’s central business district. It has Korea’s largest offline bookstore distribution network and eBook platform. This bookstore houses a wide collections of books with various genre, like Science fiction, language, literature, philosophy, politics etc.
Kyobo Book Centre has books with various languages including English language. There is also cafes like Starbucks located nearby, so you can just sit around reading the books you just bought. This could be described as a heaven for book lovers.
